Mid of 2008, in the evening, right after our annual family affair, my head started to itch terribly, I wonder why? I took a shower and shampoo my hair the next day to help relieve the itchiness. And yes, it did help. A week after, I noticed a bald patch on the right side of my scalp. I just ignored it. Maybe , I thought it was brought about by my vigorous scratching, until one day.
I noticed that each time I took a bath, strands of hair kept on falling. For the second time, I ignored it. I always told myself then , that it was just ok because I have always had thick hair, nothing could possibly go wrong. As days go by, my hair was thinning horribly. I had lost nearly 70 percent of my hair. Yeah, I know what you are saying, Why did I move that long to go to the doctor. My apologies. So there, I decided to go to a doctor.
I told what happened. Prior to our annual outing, swimming that is, I dyed my hair. I took the plunge on the pool without thinking that the chlorine would be harsh to someone whose hair had been dyed. The physician advised me to take some work tests. When I got the results, they were all normal. It all pointed to my carelessness, to my being irresponsible as to the effect of harsh chemicals on my hair. Nearly each week, I got injections to stimulate the blood on my scalp. The physician also advised me to take gelatin, It is rich in accelerator that would help in the restoration of my dilapidated hair roots. I had also done some research to fasten the growth of my hair. One thing that was effective on me was castor oil. Four times a week, before I went to sleep, I would apply a liberal amount of Castor oil added to a regular oil on my scalp. In less than a month, hair started to grow to the surprise of my doctor.
Now, each thing is back to normal. I have learned my lesson well. Never place harsh chemicals on my hair, And always, always, take care of myself because no one else will.
It is well known that soap and shampoo can be harmful to your hair, and natural hair care products can be very expensive. So what can be done about it?
You can go to the grocery store and purchase some chamomile tea.
Surprised?
Don’t be. Chamomile tea is an excellent natural hair care solution, and there is no need to spend all of your hard-earned money to a hair salon to get it.
Simply make yourself a cup of tea! Any chamomile tea will do. Most grocery stores sell generic teas, and chamomile is one of the most common to be found.
To make use of this wonderful, aromatic solution, brew your chamomile tea as you usually would, then let it cool down. You would not want to burn your sensitive scalp by doing it too soon, now would you?
For an even more effective hair product, you could also add in calendula flowers, lemon balm or lemon grass, or rose petals. To make the tea more fragrant, as well, lavender essential oil is inexpensively acquirable from most herbal shops or online. It does not take much to make a difference: only a drop or two will give a lovely, resting scent to your locks.
Did you have a hard day, and would give anything for a nice, resting evening? There’s no superior way than to make three cups of chamomile tea and drawing a hot, steamy bath. One cup for you, one cup for your bath, and one cup for yourself to sip.
You’ll be so relaxed, you’ll feel like the bath water itself.
Of course, for most people, getting used to washing your hair with tea is an odd experience at first. We are so used to having a lather when we are cleaning ourselves, that to not have it feels strange, as if we’re not really cleaned. But that changes swiftly, when you realize that your hair is softer, fuller, and much cleaner than it ever has been before.
Don’t hear the squeak when your fingers go through your hair afterward? That is, in spite of what most people think, a good thing. The squeak happens because the hair has been stripped of its essential oils, which leads to more breakage, loose ends and tangles. With the Chamomile solution, all of the essential oils are left in the hair, while any dirt, dust and gunk is removed.
This method is so effective and has been used for so many years, it’s nearly a trade secret. Don’t be fooled by the costly beauty products that will only lead to stripped hair, dry skin, and less cash to spend.
Try out the chamomile solution. It will be well worth your time, and is a wondrously effective natural hair care product.

To many women, their hair is a vanity that they couldn’t live without. Why do you think there are so many different kinds of shampoos, conditioners and hair coloring products? First and foremost, gray hair can materialize at any age; it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are getting old. Gray hair develops because of a drop in pigmentation levels. As we age, our hair does produce less melanin. Melanin is the pigment that also gives our skin its color. Simply, our hair turns gray because of less melanin in the hair follicles themselves.
There are also other problems that can happen when we age. Our hair becomes drier and so will require more moisture. Moisture is the key to any anti aging hair care system. Older hair tends to change in texture and it will also lose elasticity. Some women’s hair will become thinner and demand body while, for others, their hair will appear more dry but coarse. This happens because hair growth slows in relation to the diminishing size of the hair follicle itself. Hence, there is not enough new growth to completely replace what is lost.
Aging hair also tends to lose its natural shine and softness because sebum, necessary oil, which our skin naturally produces, lessens as we age. Menopause, another necessary evil to aging, slows keratin production. Keratin is important to keeping hair strong and healthy looking.
Many women will selected to color their hair to cover gray. It is recommended, though, not to select a hair color more than two shades lighter or darker than the natural hair color; for example, a too-dark color will accentuate a dull complexion.
For those who select to keep their gray, good for you! You should wear apiece and each gray hair as a badge of honor, you deserve it! To help keep softness and body in aging hair, try using a shampoo and conditioner targeted specifically for gray hair. On some people, gray hair can actually appear to have a greenish or chromatic cast to it. If this is the case, there are graying shampoos acquirable that have a violet based color in them. Also, introducing lowlights or highlights into the hair can hide the gray by essentially blending them into the rest of the hair.
All in all, moisturizing is a stipulation for anti aging hair care. To help keep the moisture levels stable in the hair, use a deep conditioning treatment weekly. Take care of your hair and it will love you back.
